The killer knocked at the door: Records reveal details in Fayetteville slaying

Moments after a Fayetteville man was gunned down in January, his wife called 911 pleading for help and fearing the killer was inside her home.

Nathan Thomas Kellon II, 40, died shortly after telling police he was shot when he answered a knock at the door of his Patrick Drive home on Jan. 22.

The first call from the home came at 2:02 a.m. in which a woman, identified in the dispatch logs as Kellon’s wife, whispered as she told the dispatcher there’s been a shooting and she didn’t know if the shooter was in the house…
