Two people are in custody after a high-speed police chase involving a motorcycle stretched across multiple counties late Thursday night.
According to authorities, the pursuit began in Randolph County, crossing through Montgomery County, and entered Moore County shortly before 11 p.m. The suspects were riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and reportedly reached speeds of 80 to 90 miles per hour as they traveled along Highway 24-27 from Biscoe through Carthage.
The chase came to an end just after 11 p.m. on U.S. Highway 15-501 near Lamms Grove Road, close to the Moore-Lee County line, when the motorcycle ran out of gas.
Officials say items were seen being thrown from the motorcycle during the chase, and the driver was found to have multiple warrants. Police also said the motorcycle had allegedly been stolen. Both individuals on the bike were taken into custody at the scene…
