Unsolved homicide of Greensboro 14-year-old haunts family, $30,000 reward for information issued

GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — North Carolina Governor Josh Stein announced a reward of $25,000 for information leading to an arrest in Guilford County after a 14-year-old boy who was an innocent victim died.

Jakalyen Chambers was playing video games in his home on McPherson Street in northeast Greensboro the night of February 2, 2022, when a stray bullet hit and killed him.

His family and law enforcement hope the new reward will encourage someone to do the right thing…
