A new spa in Winston-Salem opened last month to offer contrast therapy. At Pure Sweat Sauna and Spa, clients alternate time in a 150-degree dry infrared sauna and a 50-degree cold plunge pool.
The owners recommend about 20 minutes in the sauna, followed by up to three minutes in the cold plunge.
