GREENSBORO — Wilson Prep senior Rachel Key’s last day as a high school athlete was like a dream — that really did come true.
Key not only repeated as state 1-A girls high jump champion, but tied a meet record and added the girls long jump crown Friday, May 16, at the North Carolina High School Athletic Association 1-A track and field championships. Key added a fifth-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles and was named girls Most Outstanding Performer following the meet at Marcus T. Johnson Track on the campus of North Carolina A&T State University.
