Words honoring fallen soldiers ring true more than 100 years later on Memorial Day

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Across the Triad, people found meaningful ways to honor fallen service members this Memorial Day.

From a ceremony at the Carolina Field of Honor in Kernersville to Skip Nix’s nearly decade-long tradition of standing at attention along Wendover Avenue in Greensboro, the day served as a powerful tribute to those who gave their lives in service to the country.
