Person charged after intentionally hitting, killing acquaintance with car, Winston-Salem police say

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — A person has been charged after police say she intentionally hit and killed someone with a car.

According to the Winston-Salem Police Department, on Monday afternoon, they responded to a hit-and-run with injuries. At the scene, they found Tammy Denise Long, 53. Long died in the hospital from her injuries.

Police said they believed this was an intentional act, and on Tuesday, Moses Renee Arnold, 37, an “acquaintance” of Long’s, was taken into custody by Winston-Salem’s SWAT team. She was charged with felony murder…
