‘She was so special’ | Grandma remembers Southeast Alamance senior Lily Hahn after deadly crash

ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. — Eighteen-year-old Lily Hahn was set to graduate from Southeast Alamance High School on Friday. Instead, her family, friends, and school community are grieving after she died in a car crash just days before the graduation ceremony.

Who was Lily Hahn?

Lily Hahn, a senior at Southeast Alamance High School, was known for her deep faith and love for children. Her grandma, Denise Hahn, said Lily had a kind soul and big dreams of becoming a teacher.

“She was already signed up for ACC, and she was gonna go there for two years and then move on to another college and get a teaching degree. So, she wanted to be an elementary school teacher. She loves kids, she loves kids,” Denise said.

Lily loved spending time with her little brother and sister and held a steady job at a mall, according to her grandmother.
