ASHEBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — The Asheboro Fire and Rescue Department is stressing the importance of having working fire alarms installed after an apartment fire early Thursday morning.
According to a news release, at 4:20 a.m., the AFRD responded to an apartment fire in the 200 block of East Salisbury Street. Residents of the apartment evacuated before AFRD’s arrival. 11 AFRD units with 20 personnel controlled the fire by 4:50 a.m.
Injuries are unknown at this time, and the cause of the fire is under investigation…
