NC firefighter injured in crash on way to barn fire, crews say

RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. — A firefighter at the Staley Volunteer Fire Department in Randolph County was injured in a crash while on the way to a barn fire on Saturday afternoon.

The firefighter, identified as Felix Vicente, struck a tree while traveling to the fire. He suffered multiple injuries, including a broken right humerus, a cracked scapula, and a broken clavicle.
