KERNERSVILLE, N.C. — It was supposed to be a quick trip to the grocery store. But for two women, a stop at the Food Lion on South Main Street in Kernersville became something they’ll never forget.
Two people were shot at the store around 7:12 p.m. Friday, according to Kernersville Police. Officers found Malik Battle and Synadia Battle suffering from gunshot wounds. Both are expected to recover.
But inside and outside the store, panic and fear spread just as fast.
