GREENSBORO, N.C. — After five long years of appeals and denials, a North Carolina Marine Corps veteran has finally been granted full disability benefits from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and a traumatic brain injury (TBI) sustained during service.
Donald Burton served four years in the Marine Corps and was injured during a mission that left him with a concussion and long-term neurological effects.
