3 rescued from floodwaters at Tucker Street, Chapel Hill Road in Burlington

BURLINGTON, N.C. (WGHP) — First responders rescued a group of people who were trapped in the floodwaters in Burlington Sunday night.

A vehicle was submerged in water at Tucker Street and Chapel Hill Road. Emergency teams were able to pull three people from cars and get them onto rafts to transport them to dry land.

FOX8 spoke with one of the people who were rescued. They told us that they were trapped for about 10 to 15 minutes.

Burlington police said, as of about 11:30 p.m. Sunday, no injuries have been reported…
