NORTH CAROLINA, USA — Winston-Salem firefighters are on the ground assisting with search and rescue efforts after Tropical Storm Chantal slammed the Carolinas on Sunday.
The storm triggered widespread flooding across central North Carolina, with Alamance County among the hardest hit. Officials confirmed two storm-related deaths, one in Mebane and another in Chatham County.
