HIGH POINT, N.C. (WGHP) — A 6-year-old who was critically injured in a DWI hit-and-run crash on Skeet Club Road has died as a result of their injuries, according to the High Point Police Department.
At around 9 p.m. on July 3, officers came to the intersection of Skeet Club Road and Braddock Road after getting a report of a hit-and-run crash with injuries.
Police say that four children and an adult were in the car that was struck. When the police arrived, witnesses to the crash were performing CPR on a 6-year-old child.
The 6-year-old was taken to the hospital in critical condition and died as a result of their injuries on July 7. A 9-year-old, a 10-year-old, a 12-year-old and the adult driver were also hospitalized with serious injuries and have since been released…
