MEBANE, N.C. — A 19-year-old man is accused of setting fire to a Mebane sports equipment warehouse, causing an estimated $44 million in damage and injuring a firefighter, according to Mebane police.
Around 1:42 p.m. on July 11, police and fire crews responded to a structure fire at Sports Endeavors on Corporate Park Drive. The fire was quickly contained by fire personnel, and all employees were safely evacuated.
