The movie called “The Bard” will depict the life of a young enslaved poet in NC, George Moses Horton (1798-1883), who defied odds, inspiring dreams of freedom during his time. The film will be directed by Oscar-winning director Kevin Willmott. One of the scenes will be filmed on Wednesday, Aug. 13, in Winston-Salem, with several other scenes filmed nearby.
