Cool temperatures, slim shower chances on Tuesday in the Triad

PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — A cold front came through last night and it’s going to be remarkably cooler today, with highs only reaching the lower-80s. Skies are expected to stay mostly cloudy until mid- to late afternoon, and there is a slim, 25% chance of showers midday.

Quiet, partly cloudy conditions are ahead for tonight with lows in the upper-60s.

The humidity will be at its lowest on Wednesday with mostly sunny skies. It will be warm, with highs in the mid-80s. Thursday, we’re expecting partly cloudy skies with highs in the upper-80s, which is very average for this time of year.

The heat and humidity return as a dome of high pressure builds up across the southeastern U.S. Temperatures warm back to the lower to mid-90s from Friday through Monday, with heat indices between 98° and 102°.  There is a slim chance (20% to 25%) of rain over the weekend; otherwise, expect mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies…
