Woman rescued from Dan River in Madison among dangerous water levels

ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — The dangerous water level at the Madison River Park almost took a woman’s life on Monday afternoon.

Rockingham County officials say the heavy rainfall from the past few days has made the water levels dangerously high.

According to the Rockingham County spokesperson, a bystander pulled the woman out of the water before the first responders arrived.
