(WGHP) — Skies remain mostly sunny this evening with temperatures dropping into the upper 80s by 8 p.m. A stray shower can’t be ruled out this evening, however, the chance for rain is less than 20%, and the majority of us will remain dry.
Overnight skies will be mostly clear with temperatures falling into the mid 70s by Saturday morning. Get your favorite water bottle and portable fan ready to go because the heat is back in full force for the weekend. Temperatures will reach the mid 90s Saturday afternoon with feels-like temperatures up to 107° possible. Heat advisories as well as excessive heat warnings are in place for the Piedmont Triad starting at 11 AM Saturday until 8 PM Sunday. Stray showers are possible again Saturday afternoon but most remain completely dry. The chance for rain is 20%.
