Missing 68-year-old man last seen in Asheboro; possibly trying to get to High Point

ASHEBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — A Silver Alert is out for a missing 68-year-old who was last seen walking in Asheboro, according to the Asheboro Police Department.

68-year-old Douglas Ray Honeycutt was reported missing on Sunday morning and was last seen walking in the area of 500 South Park Street in Asheboro.

Police say that Honeycutt is believed to have dementia and that he may be trying to get to High Point.

Investigators also say that Honeycutt could be in the Sophia area of Randolph County.

Honeycutt is described as follows:

  • 5-feet-9-inches tall
  • 180 pounds
  • Has short gray hair
  • Last seen wearing a gray shirt, blue jeans and black shoes
