GREENSBORO, N.C. — A Greensboro dental surgery center has reopened nearly two weeks after a 2-year-old boy died following a procedure at the facility.
According to family members, Er’Mias Mitchell was brought to Valleygate Dental Surgery Center for an appointment to have caps placed on some of his front teeth. The family traveled from Salisbury for the morning procedure.
The boy was taken back around 6 a.m., relatives said. Within 30 to 40 minutes, ambulances and police were seen arriving at the facility. The family said Er’Mias was transported by ambulance to a local emergency room, and they were not notified of any issues until after he had been taken from the center…
