GREENSBORO, N.C. — Greensboro Police officers responded to the My Choice Extended Stay on Seneca Road Thursday evening for a barricade situation involving an armed man.
According to police on the scene, the initial call came in around 5:45 p.m. after a man was seen in the motel parking lot waving a gun and pointing it at others. When officers arrived, the man ran into one of the rooms. Additional officers responded and began giving commands for him to come out, eventually leading to a standoff.
Police confirmed that two flash bangs and pepper spray were used during the incident. The fire department responded as a precaution due to the use of flash bangs and to help ventilate the area following the pepper spray deployment…
