GREENSBORO, N.C. — Buying a home just got easier in Greensboro.
The city is now offering up to $25,000 in down payment and closing cost assistance to first-time homebuyers and people who haven’t owned recently —a major jump from the previous limit of $10,000 to $15,000.
“We’ve doubled the amount of homebuyer assistance in just the last month,” said Caitlin Bowers, Greensboro’s Neighborhood Investment Manager. “Now it’s up to $20,000 or even $25,000.”…
