(WGHP) — Another cooler, comfortable day in the Piedmont Triad, but as we head into this evening, clouds will start to roll in, leaving us with mostly cloudy skies and temperatures in the mid-70s by 8 p.m.
Cloudy skies remain overnight with showers moving in for the mountains and foothills late Monday night into early Tuesday morning.
Tropical Storm Dexter forms off East Coast
The rain will gradually spread eastward through the morning commute on Tuesday. You’ll want the rain gear with you the majority of the day Tuesday as rounds of rainfall move through. We’ll start Tuesday with temperatures in the mid-60s with scattered showers becoming more widespread, especially by mid-morning. The rain and cloud cover on Tuesday will keep us cooler overall with highs in the low 70s.
With the rain moving in this week, we’ll watch for isolated flash flooding as the main threat, especially if certain localized areas are able to pick up heavy rainfall or continued rainfall for extended periods of time…
