Man charged with assault after shooting on East Market Street, Greensboro police say

GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — A man has been arrested and charged after one person was shot earlier this month, according to the Greensboro Police Department.

On Aug. 9 at 7:46 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 2300 block of East Market Street and found one gunshot victim with non-life-threatening injuries, who was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

On Aug. 10, Stevie Vonell King Jr., 21, was arrested on the following charges: assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflict serious injury, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, carrying a concealed gun, discharge firearm in the city, go armed to the terror of people and possession of a firearm by a felon…
