GREENSBORO, N.C. — More than 1,100 teachers have visited the Teacher Supply Warehouse in just 11 days.
The warehouse, operated by the Guilford Education Alliance (GEA), provides free materials to K–12 public school teachers in Guilford County. According to GEA, teacher visits to the warehouse have increased by 30% in the past two years.
“We have seen a lot of growth over the last two years,” said Louise Courts, director of development for GEA. “Last year we served 4,300 teachers and distributed $620,000 worth of supplies. We depend on our community through grant funding, financial donations, and people dropping off materials.”…
