Reidsville man faces charges after missing Iowa girl located at home: Deputies

ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. — A missing Iowa juvenile was found in a Reidsville home with a 25-year-old man who is now facing felony charges, according to the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said they located the juvenile on Aug. 17 at 837 Willow St. with John Michael Johnson, after Fairfield, Iowa, police requested assistance in their missing person investigation. Authorities believe Johnson picked up the juvenile in Fairfield after communicating with her through messaging apps and brought her to North Carolina.

Johnson was charged with felony second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and felony solicitation by computer. He was given an $850,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Rockingham County District Court on Aug. 26…
