Temperatures in the 70s on a cool Friday in the Triad

PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) —A cold front that slipped through the state yesterday is now stalled to our south. We will continue to have light showers in the southwestern Piedmont this morning, then mostly cloudy skies through the afternoon. Highs are going to stay well below normal, in the upper-70s.

The weather for tonight is looking fabulous for FOX8 Friday High School Football Frenzy!! We will have partly to mostly cloudy skies and temperatures will hover nicely in the mid-70s. Catch all the highlights from our local games after the FOX8 10:00 p.m. News.

Lows overnight will be in the mid-60s.

Over the weekend, we will have partly to mostly cloudy skies with highs in the lower-80s. A cold front is going to approach the Appalachians late Sunday and march across the Piedmont early Monday.  Skies will be quite sunny on Monday with highs in the mid-80s, then the cooler, drier air arrives for the middle of the week…
