A Maryland community is coming together to support the family of a 35-year-old woman that is looking to send her body back to her native Nicaragua after she was killed during a trip to North Carolina.
First responders from the Greensboro Police Department and Guilford County EMS were called shortly after 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 25 to what was a reported “cardiac call” in an area home.
Upon arrival, they found Maryland native Meyling Mercedes Carrion-Ruiz, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of her death remains under investigation days later, but it is being treated as a homicide, according to police…
