Students, staff walk-in together across WS/FCS school district to show support for laid-off teachers

FORSYTH COUNTY, N.C. — Over the last week, students at over a dozen schools have walked out of class to show support for teachers impacted by recent staff cuts. Today, students and staff are participating in walk-ins.

The walk-in this morning by Forsyth County educators is a sign of support and unity for educators in the community. There are about 12 planned across the district, including Walkertown Middle, Petree Elementary and Mt. Tabor High School.

Keep in mind that a walk-in and a walk-out are two different things. A walk-in is where teachers plan to walk into work together as one…
