WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — At least a dozen schools across Forsyth County saw teachers and staff participating in walk-in rallies on Friday. It is one step forward in the fight for educational resources and job security.
At Walkertown Middle School, educators gathered before dawn on the school’s front lawn to begin their walk-in. Teachers then walked into the middle school together about 15 to 20 minutes before students arrived. This action came in response to a series of student walkouts that took place across Forsyth County throughout the week.
