PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — It’s a cool Labor Day morning, and the day is going to be fantastic for all the outdoor plans you may have!
We are expecting mostly sunny skies today with highs in the upper-70s. If you are sensitive to weed pollen, ragweed will be at moderate levels today, so prepare for that allergen.
We will have mostly clear to partly cloudy skies overnight with lows in the mid-50s.
High pressure, nosing down the east side of the Appalachians, will bring mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies tomorrow. Temperatures will stay mild as well, topping out in the upper-70s.
As this area of high pressure diminishes, a warm-up is forecast to begin midweek. We will have partly cloudy skies on Wednesday with highs near 80 degrees. An approaching cold front is going to push temperatures into the mid-80s on Thursday with a slim chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. This front will move steadily across the state, leaving us with sunny skies and highs near 85 degrees on Friday, which is slightly above normal for a change.
Another cold front closely follows the first on Saturday. Again, we will have mostly sunny skies as this front comes through, and highs are going to stay in the mid-80s. Cooler air starts to return on Sunday as highs creep up to 80 degrees under partly cloudy skies…
