WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — When East Forsyth High School teacher Jackson Northen checked his email over Labor Day weekend, he didn’t expect it would be the message that ended his teaching career in the district.
“I feel like I’m kind of in shock at the moment,” Northen said. “There’s nothing you can do to be all the way prepared for that kind of thing.”
