PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — Showers and thunderstorms continue this evening; however, the severe weather threat looks limited due to how much rain we’ve already picked up and the fact that our cold front has already pushed through. Rain/storms will continue to linger into the early overnight hours but will decrease in coverage as it gets later into the night. Temperatures will generally stay in the low 70s and fall into the 60s into Sunday morning.
Sunday morning we’ll wake up with mostly cloudy skies and the potential for lingering showers throughout the morning. The chance for rain Sunday is fairly low, and once we reach the second half of the day, the chance will decrease. Temperatures will start in the mid-60s and afternoon highs will reach the low to mid-70s. By late afternoon, skies will begin clearing, leaving us with partly cloudy skies for the evening. Our humidity will also fall on Sunday, leaving us with much drier air behind Saturday’s cold front.
Mostly sunny skies and beautiful, more fall-like weather settles in to start the week. We’ll wake up Monday and Tuesday in the mid-50s and highs will reach the mid-70s with humidity continuing to remain low…
