SAMPSON COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — The suspect who kicked off an AMBER Alert in the Triad this week appeared in court on Thursday morning.
Tyler Ray Toodle, 26, had his first appearance in Sampson County court for charges connected to a chase he led deputies on after he allegedly stole a woman’s car from a Randleman home with her 19-month-old little girl in the back seat.
An AMBER Alert was issued after the toddler was taken, and Toodle was found in Sampson County, where the stolen car was wrecked into a ditch with the child inside. Video from the scene shows an officer removing the girl from the car. EMS said she was unharmed.
