Alamance County first responders honored for saving man from burning car

ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — Two Alamance County deputies and seven Altamahaw-Ossipee firefighters are being honored for their work to save a man from a burning car on Aug. 29.

The first responders each received a lifesaving award. The honor is given to employees who took action to save a life when death was imminent.

Weeks later, the deputies who responded said the images of that night are still fresh in their minds since it’s not every day they respond to such a critical scene. They credit their training and the speed of the fire department getting there for saving a passenger’s life…
