PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — The coastal low that brought grey skies and showers to the weekend forecast is moving away from the U.S. mainland today. We will have improved weather today as skies become partly cloudy and highs reach the lower-70s.
Mostly clear skies are expected overnight with lows in the mid-50s.
As sunshine takes over, get ready for warmer temperatures for the midweek outlook. Highs are going to hover in the mid- to upper-70s Tuesday and Wednesday under mostly sunny skies. A cold front is forecast to cross the state on Wednesday, lowering our high temperatures back to the lower-70s for the end of the work week.
There won’t be enough moisture to produce showers as the front comes through, so we will keep rain out of the forecast through Friday…
