HIGH POINT, N.C. — Dozens of families are searching for answers after the sudden closure of the Triad International Studies Academy — a dual-language charter school that shut its doors midday Wednesday, leaving students without a classroom to return to.
The academy, which operated independently of Guilford County Schools, closed because it failed to meet a state requirement mandating a minimum enrollment of 80 students. The school had fewer than 60.
