Two people arrested for stealing cattle in North Carolina

NORTH CAROLINA — Two men are in custody following a cattle rustling investigation in Randolph County, according to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said Randall Burgess and Zachary Todd are accused of taking cattle from a property on Royal Ridge Road in Ramseur on October 17 and selling them at a stockyard in Chatham County.

Both men were arrested Tuesday. Burgess was charged with felony larceny of cattle and released on a $20,000 bond
