Guilford County Animal Services (GCAS) has confirmed nine cases of feline panleukopenia virus (FPV) in cats brought to the Guilford County Animal Resource Center. The affected cats came from several Greensboro neighborhoods, including Spry Street, Darden Road, and Chadford Place. GCAS has quarantined four of six intake halls for two weeks. The shelter is still accepting new cat intakes.
GCAS recommends that residents keep stray cats at home until the quarantine ends. If residents need to bring in healthy cats, they can join the ‘Stray to Foster’ program.
