BURLINGTON, N.C. (WGHP) — A motorcyclist was airlifted after he was injured in a crash involving a deer, according to the Burlington Police Department.
On Wednesday at 4:06 p.m., the BPD responded to a crash near the intersection of US-70 and Bell Street involving a motorcycle and a deer.
According to an officer who was patrolling US-70 and headed westbound at the time of the crash, a 41-year-old Burlington man was traveling in the opposite direction, heading towards downtown, when a deer ran out from the right-hand side of the road, running directly into the motorcycle’s lane and causing the crash.
