Piedmont Triad will be under frost advisory Friday morning

(WGHP) — Increased fire danger remains this evening as humidity remains low, winds are breezy, and the ground is very dry.

Once the sun sets, the winds will weaken which will help clear us of the fire danger concern for today. Our temperatures will be falling quickly as well tonight as skies will be clear. We’ll be in the upper 50s by 8 p.m.

A frost advisory goes into effect early Friday morning until 9 a.m., and a freeze warning is in effect for Ashe County and Alleghany County. Bring the plants in tonight or find a way to protect them from the cold because by Friday morning, we’re expecting our low temperatures to be in the mid to upper 30s. That also means you’ll need the coat to start off the day! Skies remain sunny to end the work week, and temperatures will reach the mid 60s by the afternoon.
