Forsyth County works to help 57,000 who will not receive SNAP benefits

FORSYTH COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — Forsyth County leaders are partnering to help the 57,000 people who will not receive their SNAP benefits on Nov. 1.

“I just went back to work. I wasn’t paid during that time … I didn’t actually have paid maternity leave,” said Kayle Lawson, a mother who uses WIC and SNAP benefits.

Lawson is a mother of three who is already struggling to make ends meet. For months, Lawson has gotten support from WIC and SNAP to help keep food on the table…
