On October 30, 2025, a Randolph County Sheriff’s Deputy identified a woman with several outstanding warrants at a gas station on U.S. Highway 64. When the deputy tried to arrest her, she drove away. The deputy was briefly caught by the vehicle before stepping back and calling for assistance.
