Greensboro woman charged for vandalizing graves, police say

GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — A Greensboro woman appeared in court Friday on charges related to vandalizing a local cemetery, according to the Greensboro Police Department.

On Thursday at around 2:35 p.m., the GPD responded to a cemetery in the 2000 block of Phillips Avenue regarding a woman vandalizing the grounds. Police estimate that 11 grave sites were desecrated.

Ya’Kwanda Vo’Nasha Dixon, 27, of Greensboro, was arrested Thursday and charged with felony disturb casket/grave marker, according to arrest warrants. She was taken to the Guilford County Jail.
