Greensboro Residents Reminded of Fall Yard Waste Collection Rules and Limits

Greensboro is informing residents about yard waste collection procedures for autumn. Residents should place leaves and yard waste in their 95-gallon gray carts. Extra waste can go in biodegradable paper bags or be bundled with natural twine. From November 1 through February, crews will collect up to 15 bags or bundles each week. The rest of the year, the limit is 10 bags or bundles per week.

The city asks residents to compost or mulch leaves when possible. Leaves should not be raked into streets or right-of-ways. Doing so may result in fines.
