If you drive past the outskirts of Greensboro, North Carolina, you’ll see a large warehouse from the highway simply labeled ‘Replacements.’ It might be easy to disregard with its plain exterior, but it’s the proverbial mecca in the United States for lovers of fine china, silver, and antiques.
Replacements, Ltd. was founded in 1981, and is the world’s largest supplier of active and discontinued tableware. Today they have a staggering 11 million pieces of inventory for sale, so it’s safe to say if they can’t find the fancy dinner plate you broke last year that you may be out of luck.
A Side Hustle Turned Into A New Career
