75-year-old pedestrian dies in Winston-Salem crash

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — A 75-year-old man is dead as a result of a crash that took place on New Walkertown Road on Sunday night, according to the Winston-Salem Police Department.

At around 8:56 p.m. on Sunday, officers came to the 2800 block of New Walkertown Road after getting a report of a crash involving a pedestrian.

Investigators say that 75-year-old Roy Stevenson was “walking in the roadway in an area not designated as a pedestrian crosswalk” when he was struck by a car. He would be pronounced dead at the scene…
