Randolph County Man Charged With Felony Fraud and Exploitation of Disabled or Elderly Person

On July 1, 2025, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office began investigating a report of possible fraud. The investigation resulted in charges against Michael Wayne Cain, 28, including felony exploitation of a disabled or elderly person, felony obtaining property by false pretense of $100,000 or more, felony financial card fraud, and felony financial card theft.

Cain was arrested in Forsyth County on November 2, 2025. He was taken to the Forsyth County Detention Center and served with a warrant. He received a $10,000 secured bond. His court date is set for December 3, 2025, in Randolph County District Court…
